PROCESS
First, my group selected a standard Zippo brass pocket lighter to study and improve. We researched the lighter’s materials, manufacturing processes, packaging, impact over use, and end of life, and entered the data into a life cycle impact calculator. Then, we added our improved materials and strategies into the calculator, compared results, and analyzed the improvement we found.    Download full report
